Greeks performed 8,136 hours of hands-on service to neighborhood and community agencies over the past academic year. Greek chapters raised over $45,326 for donations to local and national charities this year.
The Panhellenic Association teams up with the Interfraternity Council for two ALL GREEK service events each year. Make A Difference Day in the fall and Hunger Clean Up in the spring.
Make A Difference Day is Marquette's All-Greek fall service project. It is unique because greeks work amongst one another around the city, not just with members of their own chapters. Greeks spend the day raking leaves, painting, cleaning, and helping out at their sites in whatever way that they can.
Hunger Clean Up is Marquette's largest all-University service project. It takes place on a Saturday in April, and each chapter has a team- 100% of Greeks participate in this event. Chapter members spend time bonding while they plant flowers, pick up garbage near rivers, and many other sites all over Milwaukee.

These days of service are just the beginning. Each chapter has a philanthropy that they work with. These include domestic violence awareness, Cardiac Care, gerontology, Autism Speaks and literacy. Each chapter holds many events and fundraisders throughout the year in order to spread awareness about and raise money for their respective causes. These events are highly anticipated by Greeks and non-Greeks alike. Eveyone looks forward to tacos at Alpha Phiesta, team challenges at Alpha Xi Delta's Puzzle Palooza, great music at Pi Beta Phi's battle of the bands, pancakes at Alpha Chi Omega's Pancake Breakfast, and coffee at Sigma Kappachino. Tickets for these events and more can be purchased from any sorority member or at the door.
If you would like to find out more information about when these events occur, check the Event Calendar. We look forward to seeing you there!
